Mountain Magic
This series started as a celebration of the Medvednica mountains that rise behind Zagreb, where I used to walk regularly. The bears are a play on the Croatian word for bear, medvjed, and the bear kings and queens that I imagine might make the Medvedgrad castle their home if they were ever given the chance. Many of these works were exhibited as part of my Medvedi Medvednice (Bears of Medvednica) solo exhibition held in Zagreb (2012). Of these paintings only three of the works are available as Fine Art Prints, the rest were all sold before they were properly photographed.
